What you upload and why
A photo of the person — you, or someone who has agreed to it. It’s the base image the outfit is placed onto. A clear, full-length photo works best.
Garment photos (optional) — if you use your own garments rather than the catalogue: for example a saree’s body fabric, border, pallu and blouse photographed separately. They show what the fabric, colours and patterns look like.
Your styling choices and notes — the drape, pallu, blouse, background and any refinement notes you type. They describe the look you want.
Account details — your email address, display name and a securely hashed password, so you can sign in and keep your projects.
When you crop or adjust a photo, the studio may also create derived files such as crops and masks. They belong to the same project and are deleted with it.
How your images are used
Your photos and garment images are processed by OnMe’s own image and video software, running on servers operated for OnMe, only to create what you ask for — a check of your photo, a try-on image or a short video. They are not sold or shared with anyone else.
If we ever change where your images are processed, this page will be updated to say so before it happens.
How your files are stored
Uploads, try-on images and videos are kept in private storage. They’re shown only to you, through links that expire after a few minutes — a copied link stops working soon after. Other users can’t browse or search your projects.
Catalogue images and the examples on the home page are different: they’re sample images made for OnMe, not anyone’s personal photos.
Sign-in and usage information
To keep accounts safe and to plan how much space and capacity OnMe needs, we record the internet address (IP), the approximate place (country, and city or region when available) and the type of device and browser when you create your account and each time you sign in. We also note which days you use OnMe and roughly for how long, and how much space your files take up.
Only OnMe's administrators can see this. It is never sold or shared, and it is deleted together with your account.
Improving OnMe
Your uploads and results are not used to improve OnMe unless you opt in. The setting is off by default, you can change it at any time in Account, and each change is recorded with the date.
How long things are kept
You choose. In Account you can keep projects until you delete them, or have them deleted automatically after a set number of days (for example 7, 30, 90 or 365 days). Projects past their retention period are removed by a regular clean-up.
Deleting a project or your account
Deleting a project permanently removes everything that belongs to it:
- Uploaded person photos
- Garment photos
- Crops and masks
- Try-on images
- Videos
- Thumbnails
Any queued or running work for that project is cancelled (credits reserved for it are returned). The project disappears from your account straight away and its files are permanently deleted in the background shortly afterwards. A brief record that the deletion happened is kept, without any images or notes.
You can also close your account in Account. That removes all of your projects and files in the same way.
Your permission to use photos
Before generating, you confirm that you have permission to use the person’s photo — it’s you, or they have agreed — and that you have the right to use the garment images you upload. We record each confirmation with the date.
Please don’t upload photos of people who haven’t agreed to it.
What the results are — and aren’t
Try-on images and videos are previews of how an outfit could look. They are not measurements, tailoring advice or a guarantee of fit, and they may differ from how a garment really looks or drapes.
- Parts your photos don’t show, such as the back of a garment, are filled in and may differ from the real piece.
- Videos are short (about 5 seconds), silent clips from the angle of your photo — they can’t show every side.
- Drape styles marked “Beta” may not come out exactly as the style is traditionally worn.
